Fushilai is now offering a slate tablet called Fsl F979 that looks very similar to the Apple iPad 2. Like the iPad it has a home button, but its sides have vents and ports for expandability. On the bottom, you will find micro SD card slot and headphone jack. Outfitted with a 9.7 inch IPS display, it packs 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, again just like an iPad.

Call it fortunate or unfortunate, that is where its similarity ends. This is because it has an x86 infrastructure that allows its company to make it run Windows 7 operating system. Inside, you will find an Atom Z550 processor that has two cores and does not generates a lot of heat – something that is very important for a tablet.

Cube is now offering a 7 inch slate tablet with resistive screen. The slate is called K8M and is made of white plastic material. While the screen is said to be just fine, it is being criticized for the material quality.

Like Apple iPad and Haipad M7s slate, it has a single button below the screen that brings you back to the home screen. You will find several other buttons too on its side that includes power, eject and menu button.

Eken M009F is an Android tablet for those who are on a tight budget. Priced at just 57 dollars, it features a 7 inch resistive touchscreen packing 800 x 600 pixel resolution. It runs Android 2.3 operating system, also known as Gingerbread.

To keep the costs this low, Eken went with the Infotmic x220 processor that is based ARM 11 architecture. It runs at 1GHz clock speed and is accompanied by 256MB RAM and 2GB flash storage.
