Core i5 2520M Benchmark

The Intel Core i5 2520M is the most popular second generation Core i5 processor in the market. It is being used in the mid range notebooks and delivers great performance without impacting the battery rutimes in a negative way. The processor runs at 2.5 GHz clock speed and comes with 2 cores and 4 threads. Under Turbo mode, the processor has the capability to reach up to 3.2 GHz.

The chipset being used is Intel QM67 which can take up upto 8GB of DDR3 RAM. For course, for that you need to be running 64 bit version of Windows. I was able to test the Panasonic C1 that features the aforementioned processor and here were the crystalmark results:

ALU 43150, FPU 44751, MEM 21765, HDD 9849, GDI 13997, D2D 1885, OGL 2753

Here is how the Windows Experience Index looked:

Processor: 7.1 (Intel Core i5-2520M vPro)
RAM: 5.9 (unit came with 4GB)
Graphics: 4.4 (Intel HD 3000)
Gaming Graphics: 6.1 (Intel HD 3000)
Hard disk: 5.9 (320GB hard disk)

7.1 is not bad for a mobile machine, is it?
