Fushilai is now offering a slate tablet called Fsl F979 that looks very similar to the Apple iPad 2. Like the iPad it has a home button, but its sides have vents and ports for expandability. On the bottom, you will find micro SD card slot and headphone jack. Outfitted with a 9.7 inch IPS display, it packs 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, again just like an iPad.
Call it fortunate or unfortunate, that is where its similarity ends. This is because it has an x86 infrastructure that allows its company to make it run Windows 7 operating system. Inside, you will find an Atom Z550 processor that has two cores and does not generates a lot of heat – something that is very important for a tablet.
Fushilai’s tablet is mere 7mm thick at its thinnest point and 14.5mm at its thickest point. It weighs just 708 grams, so it is not very heavy, especially when you consider the fact that it runs full fledge Windows operating system.

On the front, you will find a 1.3 mega pixel camera that is amazing for doing video calls. It has built in 3G that promises to keep you connected while on the move. [via midbbs] (Chinese)
