Last year, Sony released Vaio Duo 11 and we were impressed with its amazing performance and full HD display. However, we found its design to be a bit unpractical for daily use. Battery life was not great either. Now, meet the Sony vaio Duo 13, which promises to correct every single mistake of its predecessor. Read this review to find out more about it.

The new slider laptop from Sony looks much more sleeker and despite packing a bigger 13.3 inch display, its weight has not increased much. This is chiefly due to the carbon fiber shell. It weighs just 2.93 pounds.

Toshiba U920T Review
Toshiba U920T is a part of company’s hybrid ultrabook concept. The U920T can be used as tablet or as laptop, but at first glance, it clearly is designed to be used as tablet as its display is always exposed, even when it is not in use. Inside, you will find Intel Core i5 3317U processor, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, 256GB SSD, HDMI, 2x USB 3.0 ports, SD card slot and 12.5 inch screen with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution.

Sony Vaio Duo 11 Specs, Review
Windows 8 brings to us a hybrid tablet PC idea that will do full justice to the upcoming Vaio Duo 11. This Sony product was shown off at the IFA 2012 where special emphasis was thrown on the fact it functions extremely well as Ultrabook and as tablet.

It weighs just 1.3 kilo grams and is thus little heavier than Microsoft Surface. The Duo is mere 17.85mm thin.

The Vaio Duo 11 comes equipped with a 11.6 inch full HD 1920 x 1080 screen that looks absolutely gorgeous in person. To operate the tiny controls on the screen, it comes with a stylus, which looks just like any other pen. Update – Its successor Sony vaio Duo 13 is out.
Lenovo S430 review
We were able to spend some time with the Thinkpad S430 from Lenovo at the CES 2012 held earlier this year. The highlight of the notebook was the inclusion of Thunderbolt port, which is being said as the successor of USB and HDMi ports. Lenovo says that you will be able to transfer a full length movie in less than 30 seconds and an year of MP3 playback in just 10 minutes. Nice.

The S430 comes with Intel Ivy Bridge processor and the company made it clear at that time that S430 will be company’s flagship model. The Thinkpad S430 replaces the S420 and it does it by making quite a statement. It weighs under 4 lb and has thickness of less than 20mm. This is amazing for a notebook that also includes a DVD writer and 2 hard disk drives.
Xubuntu 11.10 Mini Laptop Review
In October 2011, Canonical released Xubuntu which is a cousin of Ubuntu that uses XFCE instead of Gnome. I installed it on my Asus mini laptop which came pre-installed with Windows 7 Starter operating system and boy, it was all worth it. I installed it via flash drive and installation was straight forward. Hardware support is excellent on it and Xubuntu recognized every single hardware inside my mini laptop which is great.

Toshiba L755D Review
Toshiba Satellite L755d is a budget notebook that features the newer, more powerful AMD A6 processor. The build quality is great and we expect nothing less from Toshiba. This is despite the fact that the whole notebook is made of plastic. The red color that we got for review looks very pretty in person and will catch everyone’s attention if you use it in public.
Lenovo U300s Review
Lenovo U300S is mere 14.9 mm thick and weighs just 1.3 kilo grams which has been made possible by its full aluminum chassis. So, we now have a notebook that is just 0.6 inches thick. Lenovo has given U300s scratch resistant coating which has been applied via electrolytic process. The notebook comes with RapidCharge technology which allows you to charge it to 50 percent in less than thirty minutes.
