Packard Bell TS13 Review

Build quality is wonderful for a laptop costing this low. It does flex a little but there is no need to worry – it will last you for a lot of years to come.  It also comes equipped with a DVD combo. Keyboard and touchpad both work wonderfully. You will totally love its chiclet style keyboard which is similar to the ones found in macbook pro notebooks.

For storage, you get 750GB hard disk which is accessible from the bottom of the unit by unscrewing few screws. The company even squeezed in a USB 3.0 port to allow you use speedier USB peripherals. Battery life is around 5 hours and you can squeeze some more if you use it in power saving mode.

Core i3 2410M is a very capable processor. It has two cores that can handle upto 4 threads at a time. Maximum TDP of it is mere 35 watts and does supports 64 bit operating system. Oh, it does beats every netbook (like emachines em350) in terms of power.

The graphics are handled by the integrated Intel GMA HD 3000 GPU which does a decent job in handling graphics. While it still cannot surpass the latest discrete graphics, it does an awesome job in playing back movies without totally destroying the battery runtimes.

Do we recommend it? Yes – of course. It is the best recommend for businessmen and college-going students who prefer long battery life over discrete graphics.
